This Wednesday's Hump Day topic asks you to share your views about caring for our planet. What do you believe about ecology---preserving and conserving? How did you come to those views?

Julie, I have to admit since I just started blogging I have too many self indulgent, I love my kid blogs to get out before I can settle down and be intelligent. I appreciate this though. My best household tip of all time (wow, that's big) is that YOU DO NOT NEED TO FIND A GREEN WINDOW CLEANER! Absolutely not! I bought two towels made for glass cleaning (the blue coton? ones) from the $ store and I use one to wash windows and one to dry. Absolutely no streaks!!! Mirrors too!

Well, Green Works makes a great all purpose, biodegradable cleaner. It works on carpets, windows, and bathrooms. People have said they use vinegar, but I end up using too much elbow grease to make that worth it. This cleaner seems like a good compromise to me. I like it.

First it was cocktails and now it's marijuana?

Oh wouldn't Meredith Vieira love to get her graspy judgmental paws on this one: " I'm a Better Mother When Stoned ," by LJ Wilson (pseudonym) currently up at Babble (along with caveat that Babble doesn't endorse alcohol or illegal drug use while parenting). It's cancer

Adenocarcinoma. This is a common form of colorectal cancer. From About.com Definition of Adenocarcinoma Let's break it down. "Adeno-" is a prefix that means "gland." In general, glands secrete things and are classified as endocrine or exocrine. Endocrine glands secrete things into the bloodstream, like hormones. Exocrine glands secrete things that go outside of the body, like mucus and sweat. A carcinoma is a malignant tumor that starts in epithelial tissue. Put the two words together and you get "adenocarcinoma," which means a malignant tumor in epithelial tissue, specifically in a gland. Cause of Adenocarcinoma Virtually all adenocarcinomas develop from adenomas. In general, the bigger the adenoma, the more likely it is to become cancerous.
