Brief Alert re. Spam and Comment Setting Change

I've noticed a sudden upsurge of spam the last couple of days. My personal domain is getting slammed despite filters, and some are slipping through here as well. It seems to come and go in waves, but I wanted to tell people I've noticed it. I'd turn on my comment moderation, but I can't moderate comments today and don't want them clogged up and invisible. So I hate to say it, but for today and maybe tomorrow I'll have the word verification feature on. Sorry.

You might also check your settings.

Just when I turned the captcha off... So far so good on my end, and I hate comment moderation, so glad you didn't take that route.

what i really hate are people who use captcha and comment moderation...
hello? if you're going to moderate comments, why bother with the word verification.

but, i will say that this anon. comment bullshit will not stand. i am over it. if you don't have the stones to say what you need to say to me, then perhaps you need to keep moving.

i was just thrilled to see I've won no fewer than 3 foreign lotteries, even though I've never been to those countries OR bought a lottery ticket. I'm so LUCKY.

I've been having the same problem. It's actually why I had word verification on. Every time I take it off, they get me. Now they're getting through anyway - EVEN with word verification. So I'm trying comment moderation. It sucks when I can't check my comments all day but I don't know what else to do.

It's cancer
