Hump Day Hmm for October 10, 2007

So I'm only just back and I realized I hadn't gotten around to planning out a topic for this week.

So...I hope it's not too late, hope it's not off your radar, but...

This week, tell about a trip you took. That's right, a trip. I didn't say travel or vacation or holiday. Just "trip." That's to leave it open because sometimes the biggest trips aren't planned, don't go very far away, aren't time off, and so forth.

I'll let my post below count for me, LOL, and I'll add in any others who join in. Sorry for lack of notice, but you know how it is. I'm still on vacation time. :)

Many many many thanks to my great sister who did a fantastic job blogsitting. I agree with many of you who commented that now she needs to get her own blog going. :) Thanks, Les aka Flavia. And thanks to all of you for continuing to be such great readers and commenters. You guys are strictly top drawer.

Welcome back - Flavia did a great job, but nice to see you again. We took a trip to the lake this past weekend - it was great to get away. We have a house there, but haven't been for a while (school and all). I love going to the lake. My kids love going. We had a great time (see my Tues. post for more details.) See Ya.

Due to my blog moving I was running late this week, and my Tuesday post ended up on Wednesday. Would a trip to organised-ness count? ;)

Oh wouldn't Meredith Vieira love to get her graspy judgmental paws on this one: " I'm a Better Mother When Stoned ," by LJ Wilson (pseudonym) currently up at Babble (along with caveat that Babble doesn't endorse alcohol or illegal drug use while parenting). It's cancer

Adenocarcinoma. This is a common form of colorectal cancer. From About.com Definition of Adenocarcinoma Let's break it down. "Adeno-" is a prefix that means "gland." In general, glands secrete things and are classified as endocrine or exocrine. Endocrine glands secrete things into the bloodstream, like hormones.
